Zones

Rename a zone

The stock labels (Zone 1, Zone 2, and so on) are generic. Rename them to "Shop Floor," "Back Room," or "Patio" so you spot them at a glance.

    Type the new name

The tab turns into an input with a blinking cursor. Type something clear — "Shop Floor", "Back Room", "Patio." Keep it under 18 characters so it won’t wrap on small screens.

Tips & Common Issues

  • Names are label-only — the zone number stays the same, so a schedule rule pointing at Zone 2 still works after a rename.
  • Keep labels short — long names get cut off on tablets and small screens.
  • Name zones after physical spaces (Shop Floor, Back Room) or dayparts (Morning Mix, After Hours) — whichever way you actually think about your sound.
