Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 September 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and [[LEGAL_ENTITY]] ("FrontDoorRadio", "we"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2. What the service is

FrontDoorRadio lets you play audio through speakers at your premises — a music library we provide, together with announcements you record, upload or generate. You manage it through our website from your own device.

We do not supply hardware, speakers, or internet connectivity. You are responsible for the equipment and connection you use.

3. Your account

Keep your login details secure and don't share them outside your business. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [[SUPPORT_EMAIL]] if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

4. Trial, payment and cancellation

  • The free trial runs for 14 days and requires no payment details. It ends automatically — you are not charged unless you choose a plan.
  • Paid plans bill monthly in advance until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account. Service continues to the end of the period already paid for.
  • We don't provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
  • We may change pricing with at least [[NOTICE_PERIOD]] notice by email. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.

5. Music licensing — scope and limits

The music library we provide is licensed for commercial use at business premises. Your right to play it exists only while your subscription is active.

This covers only audio played through FrontDoorRadio. It does not cover, and we make no representation about, any other audio at your premises — broadcast radio, a personal streaming account, live performance, a jukebox, or anything played from another device. Those remain entirely your responsibility.

We do not provide legal advice about your licensing obligations. Requirements vary by country, premises type and use. If in doubt, consult your national performing-rights organisation or a lawyer.

6. Audio you upload

You keep ownership of audio you upload or create. You grant us a licence to store, process and play it as needed to run the service for you.

You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you upload. Do not upload commercially released music you don't hold rights to, recordings of people who haven't consented, or anything unlawful.

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from audio you upload. We may remove content we reasonably believe infringes someone's rights, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so. Rights holders can send notices to [[SUPPORT_EMAIL]].

7. Not an emergency or life-safety system

FrontDoorRadio must not be relied on for emergency alerts, evacuation instructions, or any life-safety communication. It is not designed, tested or certified for that purpose, and depends on internet connectivity and equipment we do not control.

Maintain your existing emergency procedures and alerting systems independently of this service.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Outages happen — through maintenance, third-party providers, connectivity, or equipment at your premises.

If a fault on our side causes significant loss of service, contact us and we'll consider a credit against your next payment. That is your remedy for downtime.

[[Lawyer: no uptime percentage is promised here, deliberately. Do not add one unless it can actually be met and measured.]]

9. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to broadcast unlawful, harassing, deceptive or discriminatory content; to infringe anyone's rights; to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or to resell access without our written agreement.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, doesn't pay, or is being used in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. Where reasonable we'll warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

You can close your account at any time.

11. Liability

[[Lawyer to draft. Points to cover: limitation to fees paid in the preceding 12 months; exclusion of indirect and consequential loss including lost profits and lost custom; carve-outs for death/personal injury, fraud, and anything that cannot lawfully be excluded in [[JURISDICTION]]. Note this is a low-price consumer-adjacent B2B service, so unlimited liability exposure is disproportionate to revenue.]]

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least [[NOTICE_PERIOD]] before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [[JURISDICTION]], and disputes will be handled by its courts.
