Upload music and audio files

Upload your own MP3s — music tracks, pre-recorded spots, or station IDs. They land in your audio library, ready to add to any zone’s rotation.

Before you start

  • Logged in to your dashboard
  • An audio file (MP3 recommended) — music track or recorded spot
  1. 1

    Open Upload Audio

In the dashboard sidebar, click Upload content. The audio uploader opens in the main area — it accepts audio only (no pictures or video).

  2. 2

    Choose your audio file

Click Choose File and pick an MP3 from your computer. Songs with ID3 tags (artist, album, cover art) show their info automatically on the player’s now-playing card.
  3. 3

Wait for the upload to finish

A progress bar tracks the upload. Longer tracks take a while — keep the tab open until it hits 100% or the file won’t save.
  4. 4

See it on the zone grid

The uploaded audio appears as a tile on the current zone with a music-note icon. Music tracks and voice spots get different icons so you can tell them apart at a glance.
  5. 5

    Add music to more zones

Open Music Selection and check the tracks each zone should rotate. Every checked track joins that zone’s playlist alongside your spots and station IDs.

Tips & Common Issues

  • Formats: MP3 works everywhere. Convert WAV, M4A, and FLAC to MP3 first for the smoothest playback.
  • Tag your MP3s with artist, album, and cover art before uploading — the player’s now-playing card highlights the artist name.
  • Your audio library is private — no other FrontDoorRadio user can see it.
  • The player rotates station IDs, spots, and music automatically — you don’t have to sequence tracks by hand.
